DESCRIPTION:Children’s Assistive Technology Service helps children with physical\, neurological\, and developmental disabilities have better health outcomes; participate in school and community; connect with family and friends; and be more independent. We do this by providing no-cost\, refurbished adaptive mobility and communication equipment; educating pediatric clinicians\, teachers\, and caregivers; and promoting responsive and responsible public health policy. We have our 9th Annual Hallowheels Fundraiser Oct.25th-Nov.1st. This is an online fundraiser www.hallowheels.org and we are looking for sponsors.

DESCRIPTION:At HER Shelter\, we believe every family deserves to gather around a full table and celebrate the season with warmth\, dignity\, and hope. This Thanksgiving\, we’re hosting our Thanksgiving Food Drive to collect items that will help local families in need enjoy a nourishing holiday meal. \nWe are accepting non-perishable food items and essentials to create complete Thanksgiving meal boxes for our clients and families in the community. Requested donations include: \nThanksgiving Meal Essentials \n\n\nFrozen turkeys or gift cards for turkey or ham \n\n\nCanned ham or chicken \n\n\nBoxed stuffing mix \n\n\nInstant mashed potatoes or fresh potatoes \n\n\nTurkey or chicken gravy (cans or packets) \n\n\nCanned cranberry sauce \n\n\nCanned sweet potatoes or yams \n\n\nMini marshmallows \n\n\nCanned or frozen green beans \n\n\nCream of mushroom soup \n\n\nFried onions (for green bean casserole) \n\n\nCanned corn or mixed vegetables \n\n\nDinner rolls or biscuit mix \n\n\nButter or margarine (shelf-stable if possible) \n\n\nDesserts & Baking Needs \n\n\nPumpkin pie filling \n\n\nPie crusts or mixes \n\n\nCanned fruit (peaches\, pears\, pineapple\, etc.) \n\n\nBrown sugar \n\n\nFlour\, sugar\, baking powder\, baking soda \n\n\nCake mixes and frosting \n\n\nHot chocolate mix or apple cider packets \n\n\nPantry Staples \n\n\nPeanut butter & jelly \n\n\nRice or pasta \n\n\nDry beans or lentils \n\n\nCereal or oatmeal \n\n\nShelf-stable milk \n\n\nCanned soup\, chili\, or stew \n\n\nCanned tuna or chicken \n\n\nMac & cheese \n\n\nCooking oil\, salt\, pepper\, and spices \n\n\nBeverages \n\n\nJuice boxes or bottled juice \n\n\nShelf-stable coffee creamer \n\n\nBottled water \n\n\nExtra Items \n\n\nGrocery store gift cards (for fresh produce & dairy) \n\n\nDisposable pans\, aluminum foil\, plastic wrap \n\n\nPaper towels\, napkins\, and utensils \n\n\nReusable grocery bags or boxes for packaging \n\n\nSmall holiday touches (festive napkins or table décor) \n\n\nIn addition to this collection\, HER Shelter will host another Thanksgiving Food Drive on November 24\, focused on collecting perishable donations such as turkeys\, hams\, and grocery cards to complete each family’s holiday meal. \nEvery donation helps provide comfort and care to survivors and families in need this holiday season.
